My Roots Moment

I'm old enough to have watched roots when it the miniseries premiered in 1977. I think my interest in tracing one's genealogy started then.

I love this picture. I'm reminded of a scene in Roots where Toby/Kunte Kinte hods his baby in his arms and raises her up to the sky. A symbolic linking of the generations.
