Things Jordan says

I never knew how funny kids could be until I had one of my own.

Here are a few recent comments.

My mom spent a month with us after Jacob was born. One night, after she had been "put to bed (I use that term loosely) my Mom checked on Jordan. My Mom tells Jordan to go to sleep and Jordan says "Nooooo, its dark in here". We have no idea where she heard this or how she picked it up but it was funny. So funny that my Mom started to laugh. Then Jordan starting laughing. Then I started laughing. Now Jordan says this occasionally when you try to put her to sleep.

I'm trying to minimize my use of the words NO and STOP. Somehow we've gotten into the habit of saying "not nice" when Jordan is doing something we'd rather she not do. "We don't hit people Jordan. Not Nice." Anytime she sees Mommy and Daddy hugging, she starts waving her hands in the air and saying "Not nice! Not Nice!". Hilarious!

Look, look. I have a tooth. Beware! If you taste good, I will bite. Grrrr

Look, look. I have legs and feet and toes. My Papasan thinks I'm going to keep socks on my feet. I don't think so!

Happy New Year

ok... I missed Christmas and New Year's Day. My Christmas cards are still sitting in my suitcase. Our family photos are uncut and have not been distributed. Jordan and Santa took pics this year, and those are still here also. I know, I know. I'm a bad mommy, but hey, I'm new to the game. ;-)

A wise person once told me to chalk it up to my head and not my heart. ;-) Here's a pic from Christmas morning.

Happy New Year. May 2009 bring more happiness, good health and growth for you and your loved ones.

Much Love,
Aaron, Sherri and Jordan Anne
